11/9/2023 0 Comments Obitur douglas dis![]() For the last 35 years Joe was self-employed with Fort Knox Safes as the 5th largest distributer in the nation. In his early years, he worked as a hot oil truck driver in the oil industry, was employed at Land O Lakes, and as a field representative for the NRA. During high school he had many good times in the Merry Ol’ Oldsmobile with the tail lights that he could shut off to sneak away from the cops! One of his favorite stories was when he waterskied wearing his Best Man tuxedo! Joe earned a bachelor degree at UND in Weed and Crop Management, Ruminant Nutrition and Economics. In the summers of his Jr & Sr years Joe lived with the Dennis and Bob Stock families helping with farm work as a hired hand. During these early years he and his gang formed the “Black and Blue Patrol” since they were kicked out of Boy Scouts! During Joe’s high school years, he worked at the Wahls 76 service station and began a love affair with repairing automobiles and machines. During this time Bob Lilliquist was a second dad to Joe as he played catch and practiced with him and Tim and the neighborhood gang. He was proud to be a pitcher for the VFW baseball state championship as a 9th grader. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1977, where he participated in baseball and hockey. Joseph Micheal Lorsung was born on Februto Robert and Sharon (Gullickson) Lorsung in Alexandria, MN. LuAnn is survived by her husband Dennis, sister Nancy McCoy, sister-in-law, Peggy Ellingson, brother-in-law, Stewart Ackerson(Terry), numerous special and loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, dear relatives and friends. Those who have gone before her are her parents, and her brother Stephen. Those who knew her will miss her quick wit, her sense of humor, her caring, the fun, and her big hugs. When at her lake cabin and during many trips, she enjoyed and appreciated nature, taking many pictures for the memories. She was creative, loved art, and was talented in painting and writing. Everyone received gifts from LuAnn and she was always on the hunt for the next one. She was an extremely compassionate, generous, and loving person. LuAnn and Dennis’s deep love for each other was long and enduring. The impact on and help she gave to her patients is immeasurable and her greatest accomplishment. For many Native American Veterans, and others, LuAnn was the chosen therapist. and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Mental Health at the Veterans Administration Hospital in St. ![]() She worked as a Fairview Deaconess Nursing Instructor in Minneapolis, as an Urgent Care/Emergency Nurse Therapist at Park Nicollet Clinic in St. with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned a Master of Science degree from the School of Public Health with a specialty in Community Mental Health. LuAnn was born in Spring Grove, Mn., the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth Ellingson. 21, 2023 surrounded by her husband, Dennis, and sister, Nancy, after a short battle with acute leukemia.
